I don't live close to either, but drive by/ through all of the time. I think they are both fine. 7th is close to the mall and all of the shopping in Whitehall and Robert Morris is near all of the LV highways. I guess it would depend on the actual neighborhood, particular home, schools, your commute...

Probably the two most expensive rental areas in the city. You have a Walmart Supercenter within 3-3.5 miles of either location.

I think living on Robert Morris Blvd between two major highways that are 2000' apart is by definition more convenient by automobile.
You can walk to Tilghman Square (less than half a mile). Tilghman Square
You are 1.5 miles from Wegman's where most of the well to do in Allentown shop for groceries. Wegmans
You are 2.0 miles from Hamilton Crossing (Target, Costco) probably newest shopping in Allentown. Hamilton Crossings

It is 2 miles from Downtown to Lehigh Valley Mall, but you have stoplights on every corner. Of course in downtown you have the very rich and very poor right next to one another so you have to be wary.
