I guess the title says it all. I know that I can vote, but because it’s not a POTUS election, I’m not sure who stands for what.

Maybe we can use this as a thread for the Valley elections?

Off years are always for local elections. If you don't care about your local elections, then I guess you should stay home.
Next year, you will have to either vote for the Democratic candidate or for Pence.

Educate yourself! Local elections are extremely important to you as a citizen! Some of the races include: school board members, township supervisors, etc. If you're not happy with what's going on in your township, get the heck out there and vote!

Not sure of who will be on the ballot? Go online, look up your County, and go to their Voter Services page. Sample ballots should be posted for each precinct.

The League of Women Voters is a bipartisan group that publishes info about candidates running for office. Google the League website for your County.

Remember: if you don't vote, you don't get to complain. 'Nuff said.

There are four seats up for election on the Lehigh County Board of Commissioners. I can't stand Marty Northstein and would like to have someone else in his seat. These people decide where are county tax money goes. There is also an election for Lehigh County Controller. I'm voting for Mark Pinsley for that. There's also a ballot question. I agree with the above posters. Educate yourself and vote. In my area there are no contested elections for supervisor or school board.

Here's who is on your ballot - https://www.mcall.com/news/elections...312-story.html

Thanks. That's interesting and seems to contradict the whole "outside of Philly, PA is a Republican state meme" (in the PA forum).

I don't think of the LV as a suburb of Philly, either.

One graphic going around on FB right after the election was a map showing blue from Lehigh Valley down to Philadelphia. The red starts North of us and west at Berks. I can't find it now. This was a very local election for all of the counties I think. Nothing to do with Philly.
