I just moved here from the southern US and have not been able to find decent fajitas. The 2 places that people recommended to me were no better than Taco Bell (Cactus Blue and Tiajuana Flats both are horrible).

What I am looking for is fajitas brought to my table on a sizzling metal fajitas skillet, with chicken, peppers and onions sizzling in goodness. And some queso for my chip, (not Velveta cheese with some rotel in it like the Tiajuana Flats served).

Somebody please help me so far I have had Cactus Blue and Tijauna Flats and have felt violated after spending $30 for a meal that was not good at all, I need some authentic mexican Food!!

Default Tortilla Flat

I don't know your location, but Tortilla Flat in Bethlehem is pretty authentic. We first went there after vacationing in Mexico and were surprised that the food was remarkably similar. Its located on Main St. in Bethlehem.
Here is the website Welcome To Tortilla Flat

I beg to differ, I ate at Tortilla Flat and thought it to be quite disgusting. Their "queso" was nothing more than Velveta melted with Rotel. Taco Bell is more "authentic" than they are.

okay then, sorry. we went a few years ago when they just opened. The tortillas and other food we had was very close to what we had in the Playa del Carmen area, no velveta on our plates...

Doesn't the Lehigh Valley have a very rapidly-growing Hispanic population though? How can it be that not ONE of these families has decided to open up an authentic Mexican restaurant? We have a very good Mexican restaurant here in Wilkes-Barre called La Tolteca; it is immensely popular. They just opened up a second branch called Mi Tolteca near Scranton because so many folks were driving down from up that way to eat at the Wilkes-Barre one.

You know, there is a place in Emmaus called Fiesta Ole Fiesta Ole

I've had lunch there, and it was good - nothing fancy, but good!
