Hi
we bought an old home in nazareth that needs its fuse box to be switched to circuit breakers, and we also need gfi outlets installed.
Can anyone recomend a good electrician.
How about someone to buff out hardwood floors that have been covered up in carpet?
thanks

I doubt they are the cheapest, but when I lived in Bethlehem a few years ago, I had a good experience with West Side Hammer Electric. Very professional, they showed up when they say they would, the invoice was detailed/easy to understand, and the work was good from what I could tell. They upgraded my 100amp service to 200amp and changed some outlets for me.

I buffed/refinished my own hardwood floors using one of those floor sanders you can rent from home depot. Took me several days and like $300 worth of sandpaper pads plus the machine rental. What a pain in the butt, I'd pay a pro to do it next time.

I had Jim Fluck from PG Elite Lighting Service do fluorescent lights in my unfinished basement when I moved in 2 years ago. They weren't super cheap or anything but they came on time and did a great job.

Asti Electric and Neely Electric were both recommended. I deleted the posts because the phone numbers were listed, which is against the terms of service for this site and constitute advertising. Please if you have a recommendation just mention the name, not contact info.

The guy I used is called Raul and has his office in Allentown - one of my neighbors recommended him to me. He does electrical, plumbing and heating - don't know the name of his company but his office is somewhere on N. Oswego St in A-town.

I just have his number as I have never visited his office but he is a very reliable and honest guy - based on my experience with him and the work he did.
