We have recently relocated to the area and since we have not purchased a home as of yet(waiting for home to be sold in another state), we had to register our child at the address of where we are staying now, which is Springhouse MS. We are extremely happy with the school so far and would like to stay with this particular middle school. Does anyone know what area/homes go to which schools? We are getting different answers from realtors and really dont know where to look. Also, does anyone know the pros and cons of both schools.

nitromom, We had a similar problem with getting information about our current house. Our realtor told us that our kids would definitely be going to a certain elementary school as did our neighbors. Sure enough, our oldest son was assigned to that school. Next year our youngest son started kindergarten and was assigned to a different school then his brother. My oldest child meanwhile was already in Middle School so I had three kids in three different schools when I could have had two kids in one school. The district wouldn't budge and said they make it clear to parents that kindergarten kids will be put into whatever school works out best class-size and transportation-wise. It all worked out in the end and it was kind of interesting being able to compare the two elementary schools but if I had just asked at the administration building when I registered by kids for the school district, they would have told me that policy. Our neighborhood turned into a very transitional one for elementary schools and we have kids that live here attending all three of the local elementary schools.

My suggestion is to go right to the administration office and ask them what specific neighborhoods or addresses go where.
