looking for a place where my 2.5 year old can practice swimming thru the winter. she takes lessons at the swim in zone, but they only have free swim one day a week. rodale only has it no weekends, which wont work for us. anyone know of anything other then the Y? i hate to pay for all that stuff just to use the pool.

thanks for much!

Did you see if the Y has a swim only membership? Just a thought. Some of the local high schools have pools, I don't know if any of them have community swim times. When my kids were toddlers we just switched to other activities during the colder months. Things like story times or gymnastics.

i would love to switch activities, believe me. tori has recently learned to swim without her life jacket and swimming is all she currently thinks about. which means I too have to get into a pool. but i will say - it is a wonderful way to expend some energy during those long cold winter days!

i have a call into the Y to see exactly what you suggested. i am hopeful!

I am not sure how close to Easton you are, but check out the Third Street Alliance. They have an indoor pool and it is extremely reasonable. I don't believe that a membership is required: you buy tickets as you need them. Good luck!
