Hello to all - not sure where to post this- I am looking to move out of New York state due to outrageous taxes & into a small to mid-size Pennsylvania town. I also want to open a retail business where I will own building, not rent; on a street or in plaza that has variety of shops, & plenty of foot traffic. I have been to New Hope & loved it, tho it's probably out of my budget & I'd bet there are plenty of towns across PA just as nice. Been searching the web, but feel your input would at least get me started. Any advice on towns between 50,000 to 150,000 population; with nice "main street" retail strips or plazas? Could probably go as high as $300,000 for commercial property, but would love to stay well below that figure. Thanks to any & all who respond!!!

That's a pretty good size city, not really a town. Bethlehem has about 72,000 people but I would guess it would be around the same price bracket as New Hope if not higher. A smaller local town that might fit the bill would be Emmaus.
