Been to Shula's twice for dinner in the Promenade. Both times the food and service were excellent.

Here's what shocked me....Shula's typically doesnt have the price of the steaks on the menu in any of their locations. The second time we went, all of a sudden the menu is changed to show the prices. I guess too many people in the valley thought Shulas was comparable to a cheaper steak house. The waiter said they got many complaints from the valleys elite

I've been there twice as well. The food and service was beyond anything in this area. One of the best steaks I've ever had, and only 10 minutes from home vs. driving 70+ minutes to NYC or Philly plus gas, tolls, etc. Yes, you will spend some major coin there, but I think it's worth it for a special occasion.

Both times I was there were in August and they gave us a paper menu with the prices listed. I heard when it first opened they just gave you the football with no prices, like you said. I think the football is a corny touch in an otherwise classy restaurant.

It's about $40 or so for a steak plus sides, salads, etc.

I haven't been yet, but we're not big meat eaters and yeah, I do like to know the price of a meal. We tend to go to more ethnic kind of restaurants. I keep meaning to go to the Thai place in the Promenade shops but haven't gotten there either. Obviously, I need to get out more. Anyone try that?

We haven't been yet - it's next on our list though!

I am so thrilled to see some more restaurants going in down there. I was just to Melt for lunch on Sunday and as always, it was great! We did end up missing the movie we wanted to see because we opted instead for a second martini Much better choice!

Shula's has good steaks, but is way overpriced for this area. Plus they "a la carte" you to death--everything is extra.

Can get just as good if not better meals in Lehigh Valley @ homegrown restaurants, at far lower prices!

I've yet to find a steak as good, or service as good in the valley. Find me a better steak for less.

Ah, Emeril's place at the Sands casino is considered a Steak house. I went there with a bunch of girlfriends and had steak. It was probably the best I've ever had. In fact, the whole meal was wonderful. I still haven't been to Shula's so I can't compare, but two of my friends had and they said Emeril's was better. Have you been there yet Stavs?

BTW, I heard a rumor that Emeril bought the Spring Valley Inn.

Went to Emerils for my Bday. It was ok. A little upset that they had no french fries as an option. I'm a simple guy when it comes to food. Even the baked potato was hard to get plain. My steak was good, but not great. It was too undercooked. I asked for medium well, and it was a bit under medium. I dont like sending food back. SHula's has you cut in when they bring you the steak to verify its ok.
