I am hearing some rumors about a Costco being built on Airport Road (PA 987) not sure how legit the source is but hopefully it is true -- anyway we'll see what will be put in place once that construction is done....its supposed to be right in front of the BJ's wholesale club in Allentown.

I was asking around again and a few people are saying its going to be a Sam's Club and not a Costco but I will be very glad if it was a Costco - guess we'll have to wait and see..!!

I've heard the Sam's on Macarthur is suppused to close when the new one opens. Don't know if this is true or not.

Sorry to disappoint...I too would love to see a Costco in the area. It will be a Sam's Club. I recently moved here and was a Sam's member. When shopping at the store on MacCarther I learned from the store manager that they are building a new Sam's openning next year on Airport. The old one will be closing. I moved from an area that had a new Sam's...the one here is NOTHING is comparison to that one...so there is hope...

The Walmart on Macarthur is also NOTHING compared to the new ones.
