So... I moved to the US from the UK last year (I'm a dual national) and am currently in a small town in IN. I'm learning to drive and once i've done that have two choices (well 3 if you consider going back to the UK).
1) Move to Mertztown and live with a cousin and job hunt for something in the admin field (no degree but over 3 years experience working for a buy to let company in the UK)
2) Move to Toledo with a friend and job hunt there.
So... sell me on Mertztown....

Technically, Mertztown is not in the Lehigh Valley since it's in Berks county but in general, there are not a lot of people from Berks that post on the PA board, so you might as well try here first.
I know the area of Topton (next door to Mertztown) a little bit from stopping in there to have lunch on the way to a big farmers market - Renningers
jimkutz1.htm . It's a beautiful area, very rural and unspoiled. Topton is actually a very cute down with some neat quirky shops and cafe's. Kutztown University is an easy drive, as is Allentown and even Philadelphia and New York City are within two hours. I don't know how it compares with Toledo, but I love Pennsylvania.
