Ok, so now that I have narrowed it down to Nazareth as being our place of relocation - and I fell in love with it btw after visiting a few days ago - is there a difference between Upper and Lower Naz? As in, is one more desired? Does Lower Nazareth get more dust from the cement factory in town? What would be the reasoning to move to one and not the other? Or are they the same?
And what can you tell me about Bushkill?

gtpr73, I was looking at the pdf file you included. I live in So. Calif., so I'm not familiar with millage rates. How are millage rates used to figure out taxes? For instance, Bethlehem has a total millage rate of 58.39. What does that mean? Thanks for any info you can give me.

There's probably a more exact formula, but the general rule I use is:
Take 1/2 of the purchase price of the house
Divide Millage by 1000 (Bethlehem result is .05839)
Multiply these 2 together and that's the approximate annual tax.
This site:

will give the current valuation of a particular property that you can use to multiply by the millage.
