Help! I was quite shocked & surprised (and honored) when my 10 year old step-daughter asked me if I could research things to do for her 11th birthday party which would include about 3-4 friends. Her & her Mom have "exhausted" things to do in her very small town about 90 min away. She has had roller-skating, bowling & pizza parties. She mentioned maybe something in the Bethlehem vicinity. Since I'm fairly new to the area & haven't "helped" with a child's birthday party in over 15 years I'm excited but at a loss as to where to begin. My husband mentioned something about the Crayola Factory.....any other ideas?

Just today I found out that one can rent the Emmaus theater for private groups. The person I was talking to said that she and a friend rented it out for their daughters birthday party (both around the same date). They were allowed to bring in their own food and the girls invited their whole elementary class.

That's about my only idea though, my kids generally like home parties that ended with sleep overs. There's a Chuckie Cheese over by the Lehigh Valley Mall. Oh, and there are a couple of places at the Promenade shops that cater to kids, one of them is where you paint your own ceramics. Oh, I googled the promenade shops and found this The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley Store Directory

Thanks toobusy, this is an awesome idea! I am an artsy person so this really appeals to me (even though it's not my personal party ) and I think my step-daughter may love to do something different like this, even though she's typically done pretty active things (skating & bowling parties).

Also at the Promenade, the Sweet and Sassy salon has party packages. Since it's only 3-4 friends, seems like the sky's the limit--what are her interests?

I have a girlfriend who is a scrapbooking genius! She has done small parties for girls where they all come away with a scrapbook, and hopefully a new hobby!

It's so nice for girls that age - she could do it at your home and they really have a great time. IM me if you want to.
