I've moved your post to this forum since you mentioned Emmaus and Macungie, which are both in the Lehigh Valley.

I'm a huge fan of both of the above towns, but do you realize that is an hour drive each way, without bad traffic or bad weather?

This site will give you an idea of homes for sale and for rent in the area: Real Estate Listings, Homes for Sale and Rental Property Listings – REALTOR.com® You can choose to see houses for sale or for rent by clicking the proper button.

Thank you so much for the website, we are having a look at it now.

With regards to the commute, we are aware of it, we believe it will be possible as my husband will be able to work from home 2 -3 days a week and in bad weather will probably not go in unless absolutely necessary. We've both done the horrible commutes in the UK so unfortunately are accustomed to it but prefer the family areas available further away from the more commercial areas. We currently live in a small town, extremely safe and family friendly and are hoping to keep as much to that as possible. We do, however, plan on making the trip from Macungie to my husband's work one morning during rush hour while we're there just to see how he really feels about it.

Thanks again for your help.
