Most people will tell you to avoid the north end of town, but I don't like to be that general. What price range will you be in? That will make a big difference.

Unless you have a really tight budget, I think a bigger issue than the "Good verses bad part of town" is the school district and resale potential. Like if you are going to be spending $200,000, there aren't hardly any "Bad" areas in that price range except for older areas near downtown.

Let us know a little more about your situation and I am sure we can suggest some neighborhoods....plus the ones to avoid.

If you go to "Search" at the top of the page, you'll find lots of info regarding the good side, the bad side, the ok side of town.

But I will say to avoid much of the Northside. In recent years decent neighborhoods have popped up in several areas on the NW side off Leestown Rd.
