I know all Cities have worse parts than others,, Wich part of Lexington is not so good! I have a small child and I realy don't want to move to a bad part of town.. I only have 3 days in Lex and surronding area to find a home PLEASE HELP!! never been to Kentucky .
Most people will tell you to avoid the north end of town, but I don't like to be that general. What price range will you be in? That will make a big difference.
Unless you have a really tight budget, I think a bigger issue than the "Good verses bad part of town" is the school district and resale potential. Like if you are going to be spending $200,000, there aren't hardly any "Bad" areas in that price range except for older areas near downtown.
Let us know a little more about your situation and I am sure we can suggest some neighborhoods....plus the ones to avoid.
Thank you! Husband will be working at FMC Lex, I currently want to Rent , since we have made the mistake of buying without looking! Well we sent family ,, Dumb move!! i would like to say Renting no more than 900 a month ! would prefer more smaller town, Not into shopping and really don't need things to do... as far as school , preschool age lil boy!
