I know Lexington doesn't have an H&M or Urban Outfitters, but are there any cool clothing stores or boutiques like this that cater to younger, urban men? I've seen Mod Boutique which seems very nice. Also, are there any nice consignment shops for college-aged people in the area?

Glad we don't have an Urban Outfitters. Nothing like a store full of people who think they are being different by using their parents' money on heavily marked up generic "I'm different" clothing. Almost as bad as Hot Topic.

I was asking for advice, not insults.

There's Plato's Closet. It's a consignment store directed towards High School/College aged kids. Off of Nicholasville Rd.

haha i'm in the same boat, i wish we had h&m and urban, but sinceee we don't, here are some suggestions:

black market (516 East High Street)
street scene (2575 Regency Road)
worlds apart...but i'm not sure if they have guys clothes (161 Lexington Green Circle)
as for chain stores, fossil in the mall usually has pretty nice stuff! plus there is a marshall's and a tj maxx nearby, and if you're lucky, those sometimes have really nice clothes for super cheap

i'm not sure how familiar you are with lexington, but other fun boutiques are third street stuff (257 N Limestone), sqecial media (371 S Limestone), pop's resale (1423 Leestown Rd), but those are less focused on clothes and more focused on books/trinkets/vintage.

hope that helps!
