Hi All,

My family and I arrived about a month ago, and we're looking for a good primary care doctor and pediatrician; do any of you have any suggestions on good ones in the Lexington area?

We use Mike McKinney. He's internal medicine/pediatrics. He's out in Brannon Crossing (which is nowhere neare where we live) but we love him so much that we travel to him. It's handy with him being double board certified that we can all see him. Quite a few people like Pediatric & Adolescent Associates. They are on Harrodsburg Rd across from Beaumont. Another popular pediatric group is Commonwealth Pediatrics. They're on the campus of Central Baptis Hospital.

We go to Commonwealth Pediatrics. Dr. Beth Hawse is our primary physician there. For the most part, we really like it. Dr. Hawse has a great personality and is very compassionate and knowledgeable, and since she is also a mom of young children herself, she has some personal input. We've always been able to bring our kids in on the same day if they are sick, including Sat and Sun and often at the last minute, and they always have a nurse on-call for after-hour triage.

PAA will not do a delayed vax schedule, if that is a concern for you.

We're still looking for a decent PCP ourselves.
