Hi everyone! Both me and my husband were born and raised in Louisville. Because of a promotion, we will have to move close to Lexington where the new job will be. We would like to stay halfway between the two places, as close to 64 as possible.

According to mapquest, Frankfort would put us about 45 minutes from Lexington and 50 minutes from Ferncreek in Louisville. Is this correct?

Where are some good places to live in Frankfort close to 64? We are looking to spend about 160-200k on a house, in a safe suburban type neighborhood. Good schools are important, we have a 4 year old starting school very soon. We are willing to do private schools if necessary.

Thanks!

We would be willing to move to a smaller town by Frankfort as long as it is halfway between Louisville and Lexington.

You'll want to be on the west end of Frankfort to get in the good schools. That part of town has most of the newer stores/entertainment and is also close to the interstate. You can read my blog for some tips/advice on what to look for in a neighborhood/house.
