We will be relocating to Lexington this spring and my daughter will be starting Kindergarten in the fall.

As we house hunt I'm trying to learn as much as I can about the different elementary school options. Anyone have any opinions on Julius Marks? Also Stonewall Elementary?

Any input would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Both are pretty good schools. Rosa Parks, Veteran's Park, Cassidy and Athens-Chilesburg Elementary (ACE) seem to be the most desirable ones in town.

You should look for a neighborhood that also has a good middle and high school too. It is easy to end up somewhere that only has 1 or 2 of the three schools that are any good.

Thanks for your help! We are anxious to come out and take a look at all the different neighborhoods. Seems like a wonderful place to live.

My son went to Stonewall, then Jessie Clark and Lafayette - then college.
His ACT scores were really, really good, so they had to do something right.
