We will be relocating to Lexington this spring and my daughter will be starting Kindergarten in the fall.
As we house hunt I'm trying to learn as much as I can about the different elementary school options. Anyone have any opinions on Julius Marks? Also Stonewall Elementary?
Both are pretty good schools. Rosa Parks, Veteran's Park, Cassidy and Athens-Chilesburg Elementary (ACE) seem to be the most desirable ones in town.
You should look for a neighborhood that also has a good middle and high school too. It is easy to end up somewhere that only has 1 or 2 of the three schools that are any good.
My son went to Stonewall, then Jessie Clark and Lafayette - then college.
His ACT scores were really, really good, so they had to do something right.
