Hello folks,

In a few weeks I will be driving a 16 ft moving truck + car carrier (with my car) from North Carolina to Chicago. Since it's a long drive I was planning to break journey in Lexington as that's the half way point. Can anyone recommend any decent hotels / motels to stay at overnight with the following requirements:

a) Off of or close to I-64.

b) someplace where I can park my truck and car carrier. The big requirement is someplace where I can park both the truck and carrier without detaching the car carrier and (as it's supposed to be a nightmare to back up with it attached). So basically someplace safe where I can pull in, park and them get out without having to back up!

Any recommendations for plces that fit the bill? In addition, if you know of any place in Louisville that would meet those requirements I'd be willing to drive an extra hour (ideally I'd prefer Lexington)

Thank you!!

Hmm, I'm not familiar enough with them to be sure about maneuvering (backing up and whatnot), but I know that there are big trucks that park at the Newtown Pike exit where there are several hotels (Fourpoints, Knights Inn, maybe something else). If I'm not mistaken, I believe that there are also usually trucks at the hotels off the N. Broadway exit.

I would suggest calling the hotel front desk and asking.
