Can anyone advise my husband and I on what the shortest route with the least amount of mountain roads & how to avoid construction/traffic from New Haven, Connecticut to Lexington, KY.

Then later in the week we need a quick and scenic route for a day trip from Lexington, KY to McDermott, OH?

We have bible conferences to attend and will be leaving late at night during the work week, Mapquest estimates the CT to KY trip at 13 hrs. and we were hoping for a quicker route.

Any road warriors out there with some great advise? We would really appreciate the help! Thanks.

i drive to and from CT quite regularly as thats where i am from (tolland)

Anyways I just did new haven to Lex, and it took 12 hours. Just follow mapquest, its the best route.

Why would you want to avoid mountain roads? The trip through maryland and west virginia is gorgeous! (in the day that is...)
