Good morning Kentucky! A buddy and i will be doing a 1 night stopover in Frankfort next month and were looking for suggestions on where to get a good steak and a cold beer. Would be nice to find a place that isnt a "chain" restaurant. Thanks for your help!

Malone's in Lexington is good though I stopped going there because they allowed people to sit and eat while wearing ballcaps. If I want to eat steak around people in ballcaps I'll get the T-bone at Waffle House.

I must be the only person in town that doesn't like Malone's. For $50, I expect something that will knock my socks off.....other than the bill.

There use to be a steak house, think it was called Saylor's, in Frankfort. When I was a kid and lived there, it was where all the state senators/legislators went to eat since it was so close to the capitol.

You don't think it's proper to remove your hat while indoors? Much less eating indoors? Much less eating indoors in a nice joint?

Were you raised in a barn?

If you don't want to see it, stick to the fancy restaurants. Malone's is not a fancy restaurant, therefore if people want to wear hats, who the heck cares? This isn't 1922 anymore. Dress codes are for the fancy places.

there really aren't any $50 steaks except for their Kobe steak, and i don't even know if you can get that anymore.

do people really care if someone is wearing a hat indoors anymore? really?

I certainly dont care if anyone wears a hat indoors. I worry more about pants sagging down past thier butts while I'm trying to eat!
