Hello all,
My fam has a couple of older Honda's and a Toyota and we are in need of a good mom and pop type auto mechanic shop in the Lexington area. Anyone you guys would recommend?

Steve DeMartino runs Perfect Auto. They work on lots of Honda's. Lowell's works on Toyota's. Both are excellent local shops.

Lowell's is good (maybe a tad expensive for simple things). You can typically drive up and see a lot of old Yotas parked out front for repair - good sign IMO.

You can also use the site (car talk - NPR call in show for car repair) below to find some good local shops - go to mechanic files

Car Talk. Car tips, advice, and troubleshooting.

BTW - I recall seeing a Honda specialist in the mechanic files that A LOT of people reviewed and raved about
