We've just relocated to Lexington and I am looking for a good Internal Medicine doctor as a primary care doctor. A Family Practice doctor would be fine too. I prefer female and a practice that is not too big. I just went to a UK doctor for my annual check up and while the doctor is good, I don't like the big bureaucratic system associated with a ginormous practice. My insurance would practically cover any provider that accepts insurance. While on the topic, any recommendation for dentist, gynecologist, male GPs (for my husband), hairdresser(!), piano teachers would be welcome too! Thanks.

Primary care male-Borders & Associates
Personally I would go to UK only for trauma or something really bizarre. I think continuity of care is an issue since you have to see residents and other providers. I like seeing one person so they get to know me and know my history.
Thanks for the recommendations. Appreciate it. I agree with you about continuity of care. I didn't realize when I went to UK how it was going to be. Brannon Crossing is no poblem. I used to drive an hour to my dentist and 45 minutes to my GP because they were excellent.
For family practice I recommend Julianne Ewen ARNP and Dr. Mary Findley at Primary Care Associates near Harrodsburg/Alexandria. I have been seeing Julianne for years; it is a small practice but Julianne is at the top of her field (she is getting a doctorate of NP right now) and is extremely caring, competent, and resourceful. I was referred to Julianne by a friend who loved her and I highly recommend her.
I like Dr. Umar Murad at Beaumont Medical Center. His wife is also a doctor there if you prefer a female.
