Miltary Transfer...Need housing help (Lexington: real estate, foreclosed, rental homes)

My husband is being transferred to Lexington with the military and I am having a hard time finding property management companies online. Does anyone have any recommendations, or for that matter warnings?

Also, we have small children so school districts are important as well. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

If you rent from an individual, first go to the PVA (Fayette County Property Valuation Administrator) to make sure the person you are talking to actually owns the house. It hasn't happen too often, but I occasionally hear of somebody renting out a vacant house that they don't own. Just don't want you to get scammed! Also, check the Master Commissioner's site to make sure the house isn't about to be foreclosed. I have also heard of people who are about to get foreclosed renting their house and the next thing you know the tenant is in a bind: Welcome to the website of the Master Commissioner of the Fayette Circuit Court.

The best elementary schools will be Rosa Parks, Cassidy and Veteran's Park. Most of the others are pretty good, and only a few are very bad.
