Hello.

I currently live in Binghamton, NY. I moved from here to Lexington about three years ago. While I liked the area, I could not secure employment and gave up on your city after just 4 months.
I would like to give it another try, but want to make it work this time.

Any ideas... suggestions?

Thanks

What is your educational and professional background? What is your experience? What areas of employment interest you?

We need more info in order to respond intelligently to your inquiry.

I am currently working on completing my Associates in Medical Assisting. I will not relocate until that is done.
I have many years experience in the medical field, mainly as a nurses aide.

I am single and would be looking for a 1 bdrm apt, in a nice area. But I can not afford to spend more then like 450.00.

I do not know if such a place exsists.

There are plenty apartments which meet your needs - not necessarily the newest apartments or those with lots of amenities, but certainly clean, decent places in good areas. Check some of the older four-plexes in the suburbs.

Can't help with the job issue, sorry...not knowledgeable enough in this area. Perhaps others here can provide more info and insight.

I've been on the hunt for cheap apartments as well. I'd recommend:
Chinoe Creek apartments
Fayette Crossing (Bad reviews online but my two friends who live there enjoy it)
Omni Place
The suburbs (Nicholasville, Georgetown, Winchester, Versailles)

Once you get your AA I'm sure you'll have an easy time finding work as medical is a big business here in Lexington. Hope you find your way back if you like it so much!
