Yeah, I'm here to fourth, fifth and sixth what everyone else has said. Insight lied to you and I can't believe they keep getting away with all the monopoly lies. They dominate this area and bully customers and other businesses (Windstream, Dish). And yes, Time-Warner purchased them which makes it worse. I said I would never go back to Insight, but I did because their internet is the best for me. Although Windstream's DSL is actually pretty good, I used it at another location before.

You should check with Windstream to see if they are available in your area.

Oh gosh well I hope I don't have crazy problems with them. I ended up going with them because when I checked with Windstream they didn't offer the speeds I need. I can't stand the lag on Xbox so pretty much Insight was my only option. When I called back the guy I talked to was actually pretty nice. I will officially be a Lexington resident on Monday so I guess I will see how the service is.

I play Xbox Live and use Netflix/Hulu fine on a 5 computer network on Windstream's 6mb package. Windstream internet, however, does cut out a lot.

I am thinking we can back down our internet speed. We went with the 30mb. I am pretty sure we can do at least the 20. They hooked up cable so we could get free installation but we took our boxes back after the first week. Even on the basic cable package we were getting like 10 channels with 3 or 4 being shopping channels, a few religion channels and a few community channels. We bought an antenna and have more channels. Plus they are all good ones!
