I'm relocating from Tulsa to the Lexington or Louisville this year. I plan to get to know the area first then later plant a church. I most likely will be bi-vocational so will have to find a job and a great location to raise a family. I don't know anyone in KY and have only driven through KY during road trips. Are there any differences between these two cities. In my research both cities are very similar, as far as demographics. Please advise.

So, transferring from one Bible Belt state to another?!?! Christian culture is just that, a culture, in the Southern tier states.

If you want to make a marked move, do what my former pastor did: uproot his entire life and move from Kentucky to the Southwest. In this case, you could move to Arizona, New Mexico, or California south of the 38th parallel.

On a more serious note, if you are going to come to Kentucky, you need to visit each metro and determine which feels better for you. You can research my posts comparing Louisville and Lexington, and how I've developed my feelings for Louisville and Lexington over the last couple of years. (Simply because I'm tired of typing them ad nauseum.) Just know the basic comparisons here: Louisville is an older sort of Tulsa, except bigger, and Lexington is an older sort of Norman, except bigger.
