What kind of budget are you on? What type of job are you looking for? Lexington is a metro of almost 500,000 people so there are many opportunities here. Also because of its location, it's a melting pot of northern progressivism and southern tradition and hospitality. The people here for the most part are very friendly, but like any city it has its fair share of meaner people as well. This is a town where if you go the store, someone will randomly come up to you and ask you about your day. You won't find that very much up in New England or out west. I think you will really enjoy yourself here. Real estate here is pretty cheap compared to most of the US, but Lexington is the most expensive city in Kentucky to live in. Let me know specifically what you are looking for and I'll try my best to help.
