I've read many of the questions and comments regarding Georgetown, right on this forum. But none of them really seem to answer questions I have.

I wasn't born in Georgetown. But I lived there for much of my childhood. That was back in the 80s. We left right after Toyota came in. Many changes were about to take place when we left. And many did. We occasionally drive through Georgetown once in awhile to look around. And I see that it has lost much of its charm mostly on the Toyota side. I remember when a dirt road went through there. So my question is for all the natives, or those who have lived there since the early 80s.

Do you think Georgetown has gone downhill since the old days? Is it still the same in many ways? What do you think the future will be like for the town(and county)? Please enlighten me!
