I'm flying out of Bluegrass Airport in Lexington tomorrow afternoon and trying to figure out the best way to drive there (it's been awhile since I've been there). I'll be coming south on I-64/75 and can't recall if there's an exit at Newtown Pike so that I can take it over to New Circle Rd. Mapquest keeps steering me farther south to the US 27 exit, which means I'll actually be driving farther on New Circle Rd. to get to the airport. Or is it just faster to get off at US 27 because traffic is bad on Newtown Pike. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

There is an exit at Newtown and it's a short drive south to New Circle.

I'd take Newtown Pike (exit 115) to New Circle Road (will exit to the right) to the Bluegrass Parkway exit (It's exit 5--don't remember if its A or B--just make sure it says BG Parkway). Turn left on Man-O-War. You will see the airport directly on the right as soon as you turn onto Man-O-War.

Charz's directions are perfect. That's a large intersection where you turn left onto man-o-war. Make sure you're in the left lane because it can get congested through there. Also, you can easily be distracted looking over at Keeneland on the right if you're on that side of Versailles Rd (exit 5 from New Circle).

That's by far the easiest way to get to the airport, but remember that traffic around Man-O-War and Versailles Road can get a bit hectic with people trying to switch lanes at the last minute to turn.

Thanks for the replies. The route to the airport turned out to be very well marked, and I had no trouble getting there. I'm actually waiting to board my flight now and enjoying the free broadband wireless here. Nice airport.

Funny thing is I'm heading to Cincinnati to catch a connection to Orlando, and the Cincinnati airport is closer to my home than Lexington's. Had I flown directly out of Cincinnati, though, the flight would have cost $200 more.
