It looks like the Harold Leader finally added a crime map, including a map of all homicides for 2007, 2008, and part of this year

If this map is accurate then Lex had 19 homicides in 2008 - 12 on the North Side, 4 on the South East side, and 1 on the South West side

In 2007 there were 14: 5 on the North Side, 6 on the South East Side, and 3 on the South West side

They're including some that are apparently self defense. While I guess it's still homicide, it won't be a murder since it was justified. Quickly perusing the stories, it seems like about 40% of the homicides are domestic violence.
