I'm nearly packed for moving and looking for apts now in Lexington. I would like to be within a mile or two of the university area and where it is fairly safe and quiet.
Does anyone have feedback on Raintree apts? How far is it from the university area? The address is below. Are they quiet, safe? Is this in a low crime area? Thanks for any information.

Locust Hill Drive is kind of far from UK. It's off Richmond Rd which is a few miles south of UK. I do believe those are ok apartments. I don't think it's a high crime area. It's very close to a small shopping center that has a Wal Mart and a few other stores/restaurants. Traffic on Richmond Rd can be bad at certain times of the day. And Krispy Kreme is nearby too!

Thanks InLondon,
I have a map now which helps in getting a picture of where these places are. I can look them up and post those that are within a few miles of the UK. Thanks for the feedback on Raintree. MMM!! Krispy Kreme!

Google Maps has it being 4.2 miles from UK. Richmond Road has some of the worst traffic in Lexington... but you would be kind of close to one of the Michael's stores for your yarn, and of course the Krispy Kreme and Starbucks are nice.

It isn't the closest thing to Campus, but I don't think it would take you an additional 10 minutes to get there. I travel down Richmond Rd. every morning at 7:30. Takes 15 minutes to get from the Todds Rd. area to Woodland Ave.

I haven't heard any negatives about the apartments. I had a client who lived there about 2 years ago..no compliants. If you are parking at the "K" Lot, you could cut across Richmond Rd. and take Alumni into campus.
