Are there any good flea markets and swap meets in and around Lexington? What about Farmer's Markets and health food stores? Does Lexington have community gardens with individual plots? Street addresses or cross streets will help as I can locate them on the map and start getting a sense of where things are around the city. Thanks!

Lexington Farmers Market - 628 N. Broadway
Whole Foods - Lexington Green Circle (next to Fayette Mall)
Good Foods & Market - 455 Southland Drive (Off Nicholasville Rd)
Roberts Health Foods - 115 N Locust Hill Dr and 1020 Industry Rd

As for community gardens, The Arboretum is awesome! A great garden! 500 Alumni Drive near the UK campus!

The Lexington Farmer's Market is on:
South Broadway at Maxwell Street, on Tuesdays and Thursdays,
it's on Vine Street between Mill and Limestone, on Saturdays,
and on Southland Drive at Southview, on Sundays.

Here is another favorite: the Loose Leaf antiques show on Angliana Avenue. It's in an old tobacco warehouse on fourth weekends during the temperate months (someone correct me if I'm wrong about details). If you google angliana antiques, the details are bound to appear.

It is just stupendously huge. If you like antiques or just getting out, this thing is such a treat. Enjoy!

Here is another event: the Gallery Hop, which is all over town at all the art galleries. Food, music, art... It's wonderful. The April one is this weekend.

Oops, I goofed it is on South Broadway and not North Broadway. Thanks for the correction.

They have been moved to the old Athens School on Athens-Boonesborough Rd in Athens. The old warehouse is to become a student housing project.

There are occasional flea markets, car shows, boat shows, and other free events at a convention hall downtown called Heritage Hall. It's close to Main and Jefferson.
