About how far is the Lexington Ice Center from the UK area? Is it in a low crime area?

It's about 15 minutes or so away from UK. It's not in the best area of town, but it's not the worst area either. It used to be an old YMCA that had an ice rink attached and the YMCA closed about 7 or 8 years ago. The basketball courts, ice rink, and mini golf have been preserved. Basically, it's an area that I'm fine venturing into during the day, but am a bit more leary of when I go there at night. It's not terrible though.

It's between Richmond Road and Alumni Drive. Teebird is probably right about the distance. I think the area is as safe as other areas in town.

It is near that Eureka Springs apartment you asked about a few days ago.

It isn't an area that I'd be afraid of at night. The YMCA/ice center is full of people at night. They have ice skating there along with ice hockey games and birthday parties. The area isn't "upscale", but is safe. Lots of rental property in that area which leads perhaps to more of a mixed bag, but I'd consider it safe.
