Since BG Airport offers this seasonally and it seems to be pretty popular, I wonder if anyone can recommend oceanfront hotels that offer a free shuttle to and from the airport? I'd rather not use an Uber or taxi service.

I think that the Hampton Inn and Suites has an oceanfront property not too far from the airport- it would likely have a shuttle service. Hamptons are pretty reliable; its worth a look. There are a few new hotels near that part of town- a new place at the Coastal Grand Mall, and another that I can recall seeing go up but can't place geographically.
There is a nice looking property at Broadway at the Beach as well, but that will not be oceanfront, though well located to restaurants and amusements.
I don't spend lots of time in that area, so I apologize for the vague references, but I can tell you for certain that you should verify ocean front locations on the property websites- its easy to be confused by some names.
I think that the Hampton Inn and Suites will be your best bet

I was at the residence inn on the beach. It was new and nice and close to the airport
