I have some questions about Covington KY...I've posted on the Cincinnati forum, but get so many mixed, biased reviews it's unclear. Can anyone on this forum help me out? I'm interested to know more about Covington and how safe it would be to purchase a home there. Thanks! any input would be great!

If I were you, I would repost in the general KY forum, since the Lexington area is a little over an hour away. You might get some more people to reply. Good luck!

That's a pretty area, isn't it? It seems to be a bit of a red-light district, though, judging by some of the local gentleman's club-type businesses, liquor stores, and the like. But the housing options are stunningly lovely. I don't know what it would be like to live there, how clear the boundaries are between the business and residential blocks, etc. People who have moved away from Covington usually tell me that it is ALL red-light district. It's hard to credit a report such as that, but they say it pretty often.
