I have a family reunion here this weekend. I want to bring my dog, are dog alowed? What all is there to do in the park itself?

There is an enclosed dog run at Jacobson but outside of that I don't know about the policy. You might check lfucg.gov and look for "parks". I would think the policy should be there.
The park has paddle boats for rent, a nice wooden play set (if you have any kids coming), tons of ducks to feed (take your own bread), and lots of open space.

We've had our dog there on-leash outside of the dog park, and have never been told it's a problem (and there are regular patrol cars who drive through as they make their rounds).

There is a lake at Jacobson Park. You often see people fishing from the banks, although I don't know how great the fishing is there. There are also the paddleboat rentals that lexingtongal mentioned.
