I've been a part of this forum for a little over a year now and have loved answering questions about my home of Lexington. Now I find myself about 90% certain that I will be leaving for Nashville in the fall for college and would just like to ask if there are any people here who have lived in the Nashville area. I wanted to ask about similarities and differences between the two and what life is like there for a young student. I've visited Nashville four or five times, but have never "lived there." Any help for an incoming college student would be much appreciated! Thanks everyone!

I've never lived in Nashville, but my one of my dear friends moved from Lexington to Nashville a few years ago and she absolutely loves it. I've visited several times and was always impressed with the cleanliness of the city and the wide variety of entertainment options. Not sure how life will be for a student, but as a single 40-something, I think I could certainly like living there!

teebird, post in the Nashville forum, folks there can help you with about anything you would like to know about Nashville. I lived in Lexington for several years and I can tell you there is a huge difference in the two cities. The population for Nashville is over 550,000, more than double that of Lexington. I avoid Nashville like the plague myself because of the traffic there, morning and afternoon rush hour there is a killer.lol
