I am currently residing in Medford, Or, looking to transfer to either Covington area, or Lexington. We have warm summers in Medford, and desire our pool. We have been looking at homes in Lexington, and are not finding any with pools. We are looking for a nice suburb setting outside of the "city" that would have local Safeway, Walmart or something similar within driving distance. A home with upgraded appliances and so forth, and a pool. Do these exist, or is the weather not warm enough to condone homes with pools? Thank you very much!
Plenty of homes have pools. Some neighborhoods don't allow it, some just have small yards with no room for a pool. The summers here are hot and humid. I'm sure the humidity isn't as bad in Oregon. I think you'd have better luck finding a house with a pool in the surrounding counties outside Lexington - Madison Co, Jessamine Co, Scott Co....
The weather is warm enough, but it rains a lot. Pools are not exactly common, but they're around. A good realtor would be your best bet in finding a home with a pool. Given your stated objectives, I would suggest looking in Jessamine County.
