Hello everyone! I am currently living in bowling green. However, I really would like to move into the lexington area. Obviously I have a lot of questions. What is the traffic really like? Is it very walking/biking friendly? Is it a good place to raise a family?(I have a 1 year old daughter) can you find affordable apartments in a good area?(I'm paying 495 plus utilities here) anyway, you get the type of info I'm looking for. Any info that can be given would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all

Your rent is going to be a bit higher, but a lot of places bundle your heat/AC in with your rent, especially the older properties that are on a central boiler system. I'd hit up rent.com to look at apartments, Craigslist for houses. The traffic isn't really anything to worry about, so long as you expect to go well under the speed limit even during the calmest times. Jobs are fairly easy to find, but it'd be better if you could get a transfer from your current workplace. As for families, there's certain apartments where I wouldn't be with a kid (read reviews on Apartmentratings.com), but overall, it seems like a good place. There's lots of parks, and the city is pedestrian friendly.
