Yes, but these local cat/dog licenses are not the same as rabies licenses, and that is not well-publicized. My cat has always been up to date on innoculations, but I was unaware that a second, local license was required until I was notified by postcard a few days ago that her local license had expired last October, which was one year after I got her from the Lexington Humane Society. Apparently she came with a local license then, along with all of her shots, spaying and chipping, but if I were ever aware of that license, I certainly didn't retain that knowledge (which is not typical of me - I have no memory issues). She was given her rabies booster and tag and other annual shots last October, but the vet made no mention of the local annual license requirement. When I saw the vet a couple of days ago about the local license, the comment was something like, "Oh, they must have started enforcing again".

At any rate, I now have a legal cat!

I'm looking for any option at this point so here goes; my fiance and I are relocating to the Lexington, KY area and are having a difficult time finding a place to rent with our dogs. Most places have a two dog max and I have three. All are small dogs (under 20lbs) and so far we've been striking out. Any tips on places which don't restrict how many little furbabies you have would be nice. Thanks in advance.
