OK, folks, here's the next question...

What would be the range of cost per square foot to build an high quality but basic house (nothin' fancy - just solid)? I'm looking at around 1500 sq ft...

Thanks!

Based on current build cost which changes with the wind. You can expect to spend $100-$145 sq ft NOT including the land. This is based on quality construction and not cutting corners and using average to above average grade components. So figure $150K to 217.5K for 1500 sq ft.

Note, it can be done cheaper but you get what you pay for.

Thanks!

That's about what I guessed based on what it would cost here, but I didn't really have any idea if it would be more/less up there.

I'll save the question about reputable builders for a later date...
