Tired of the long Ohio winters (cold in Canton). Looking to move and we like Lexington. Need advice - good school district (9 year old daughter) she likes to ice skate so we need close to an ice rink, 4-H and horse shows (quarter horse shows and open shows) need to live fairly close to a boarding facility, close to a shopping area, and movie theater. Low crime rate. Housing under $200,000 and close to a Ford dealership. My husband will need a place to work! Thank you for any help.

You can find housing in that price range anywhere in the Lexington area or it's surrounding communities. Of course you can not find a better spot for equestrian events than the "Horse Capital of the World" The Ky. Horse Park is located here where many National and International competitions are held. Most of the horse farms are to the North and West of Lexington. Paris, Ky. Versailles, Ky. would be two places to look at. Woodford County (Versailles) also has great schools and a Ford Dealership. But there is not much shopping there. But Versailles is only 10 miles from Lexington, so you can be in shopping heaven in no time. If you want more information about Lexington, you can visit the chamber of commerce's website www.commercelexington.com or get an information packet from www.cityconnectonline.com (broken link).
