I am a single working male in my late 20s and I am looking for a new place for myself only. I currently live in Lexington in a pretty good apartment, but I'm looking to see if something else might be available.

I work in Frankfort, but I don't mind the commute...so if it takes me 45 minutes to get there, that's ok.

I have had two previous brief stays in Lexington while I looked for permanent work, each involving a three-month lease at an apartment.

The first place I lived in was Continental Square Apartments in the Eastland area. The apartment itself was fine, but it wasn't my favorite area. It was close to Hamburg, but I wasn't too comfortable with the neighborhood.

The other place I lived in was Imperial Studio Apartments on Elaine Drive, right beside St. Joseph Hospital. This was a better area, but the apartment was tiny because it was all I could afford.

I am currently living in Turfland Apartments near the Turfland Mall off Harrodsburg Road. The apartment is comparable to Continental Square but I like the neighborhood better. Still I would like to see if there might be anything nicer available in my price range.

I currently have a membership to the Beaumont Centre Family YMCA, which is costing me $50 a month. It's a great place to work out, and I definitely want to continue having a fitness center available to me, whether it be at the Y still or at the place I end up moving to.

I am looking to spend no more than $600 total per month on rent, utilities, and a place to work out. I know this isn't much, but it's all I can afford right now, even with a job. I am looking for a safe area. I prefer something on the south side of town, but I would be willing to consider anything provided it's in a safe place.

I have some ideas in mind, but I wanted to see what anyone on here might be able to suggest. Thank you.
