Your best bet for decent pay is one of the temporary services. Most of the bigger companies hire thru them so they can kiss you off easily if they don't like your work or hire you permanent if they do.

There's several temporary services around:

Google "lexington kentucky temporary employment agencies" for a list of them.

Restaurant work tends to open up in the summer as most of the college students split for the summer.
