Any opinions on them? We are expecting our first child in the summer, so won't be needing schools YET, but are also considering buying a home out off Harrodsburg that's just inside Jessimine county, so of course I'm looking at schools too. I'm not from Lexington, so have no basis or reference for schools, other than the few schools I've heard in Fayette County that are "good". But I know nothing about Jessmine county schools...

Any info or opinions yall could give me would be great! I've been having trouble finding good info online, plus, it's usually better to get opinions from other parents, locals, etc, vs just looking at stats and test scores online!

THanks!

Jessamine county has fine schools. You won't find Henry Clay, Lafayette, Dunbar, or Tates Creek quality education there, but it was more than enough to get me a full ride to UK and a few certifications in IT before I was even out of high school.

I graduated fairly recently. They're fine. Move to the Tates Creek district if you can, if not, East or West district will be fine. The new JCTC building is awesome, offering all sorts of specialized vocational and advanced/accel. courses.

I know. Lexington borders Jessamine county and the cities of Nicholasville and Lexington are probably a mile or two from touching. If you live a certain ways out on highway 1980 or 68, you'll be in the TC district and technically in Fayette county, but closer to Nicholasville if anything.
