My wife and I split after 20 years and I'm leaving New York heading south. My 15 y/o son will be coming with me and I have a question or two.

1. High Schools in Corbin vs London
2. Cost of living home rentals, cable and Internet
3. I have Verizon cell is service good in the area
4. Crime

I'm just looking a nice quite country town to grow old in. Right now I live in a town with no stores no police dept or even a post office and that what i looking for a real small quite town. we love to fish and drive dirt bikes and quads. Any help would be great. thanks to all.

High Schools- Corbin and South Laurel High School are you two best choices. North Laurel High School tries, but never seems to get into the category as the first two.

Cost of living- Cheaper than you are use to. I would recommend you compare the COL of the area versus where you come from. I know I am always pleasantly when I crunch the numbers of various locales across the nation versus Corbin/London

Verizon- Cell service is generally good in the area (There are some dead zones but there are more east than actually in Corbin/London)

Crime- It's here. Meth and prescription drug abuse are problems. However random and stranger on stranger crimes are not that common.
