Hello everyone! I'm looking for a 1 bedroom/1 bath pet friendly apartment for rent either on Kavanaugh Blvd. or the surrounding area. I am having trouble finding listings for all the rental properties that are around that area. I'm looking for a monthly rent of around $495-$500 and I'd REALLY rather not deal with bugs. I used to live in a complex right off Kavanaugh and it had a serious roach problem. They would crawl out of the pipes. Eww. Any suggestions?

No I'm afraid not. I'm currently living out of state.

Unfortunately good apartments in Hillcrest are pretty limited. As you know, they're mostly smaller places and then rental houses. There's Crestwood (which is where I suspect you might have lived?), and Lanai Apartments, but I can't think of any other affordable apartments in that immediate area, unfortunately. Wood roaches are definitely a problem in Hillcrest, I'm renting a pretty new house and they still somehow find their way indoors occasionally and I don't care for that at all. Have you considered Riverdale or Midtown? There seem to be a few more options in that area. In Riverdale I liked Riverwalk, but I don't recall the prices. The other two complexes down there I looked at were a little too expensive for that range. Brightwaters might be a bit more affordable, I know some people that live there and like it well enough. Summit House seemed decent too, and might be close to that price.
