Believe it or not, Easter Seals has a GREAT preschool. Absolutely fantastic. Lots of love and joy in that place and the teacher to pupil ratio is wonderful.

Selma's is also great...I think her daughter may be running it since she died? It's up at Cantrell and T St., right behind McDonald's just west of Mississippi. Great little homey school.

I'm no longer in LR but I know of friends who have used and currently use Selma's. I have always heard wonderful things about it. Geyer Springs Baptist Church is also supposed to be excellent if you are interested in a church based preschool.

My son went to Pre-K at Forest Park in Hillcrest. It is a former elementary school that has been turned into an all Pre-K school. It is part of the LRSD, so it's FREE! It is used as a sort of showcase for Pre-K advocates. The Governor even visited my son's class one day.

We really liked it a lot. They run it like a Kindergarten and there are no older kids there. Most of the teachers are former Kindergarten and first grade teachers. The principal is really great, too.

Giggler--sorry, but it's 'Fair Park' and NOT 'Forest Park'. Here is the link.
