Hello all!

Considering HSV and wondering --- does anyone garden there? The lots are nicely done but I don't ever see any with garden space. Am I missing something?

Thanks for your input!

What kind of gardening, vegetable or flower beds or both? The great majority of homes have flower gardens but the ground here is very rocky so any flower beds would need soil to be brought in. I also have a raised bed in my back yard for vegetables. If you are looking at strictly lots you are going to be seeing only undeveloped woods. Also, if you are looking at Google Earth you are only going to see the view from the air as the street view cars are not allowed inside the gates.

That's good to know about Google.

Yes, veggie gardening.

Thanks for your answer!

The Village is a big place. It's in the Ouachita mountains but not all of it is the same. Where I live it would be frustrating to try to garden. We can barely drive a stake in the ground without hitting a rock. My wife has flowerbeds along the driveway, but that is all fill dirt as our lot slopes and we had to build a retaining wall to level things out for the driveway.

The wildlife here also enjoys gardens and flowerbeds. We have a LOT of deer that will eat up about anything green.
